Member Comment!

It's been a coon's age (I know, antiquated colloquialism, but I never get to say stuff like that) since I've posted a member comment, so here we go:

Tim: The schedule shows <......> teaching the <...... ..........> and <..........> spin classes. I regularly take this class with <......> but I haven't seen <.....> name on the schedule the last 2 times I have checked. I appreciate your putting the schedule online but if it isn't accurate, it really isn't helpful. Spinning, as you may know, is very instructor-dependent. A bad spinning instructor can make 45 minutes crawl by whereas a good one makes the time fly. Please correct the schedule if it indeed needs correcting. Thank you!

You have my apologies. I realize that the member facing “weekly” schedule has not been updated daily like I’ve tried to commit to. No excuses, only an explanation. My right hand scheduling coordinator is taking some much needed time off and I’m not keeping some of the things I’ve come to value her for on my radar (like doing daily updates). Again, not an excuse, but so you know this should be anomalous. I will try to do better!

Give him a break. He is the ONLY group fitness director out of all the YMCA's that is so dedicated! We are lucky to even have this site! The other YMCA group fitness directors don't come close!

I am just thankful there is this site. I don't see any other group fitness directors this dedicated. Give him a break!

Thanks for trying to stay on top of this. I must agree that instructors really do make a huge difference! Also, I know some instructors left pretty suddenly a couple months ago but no one was really informing us why (Allyson, Tony). Any chance we can have an update?

Just an FYI: the online schedule can't be viewed all the way down the page. For example, on the Fitasium page, I can only view to 4:30PM and the rest won't scroll down. I encountered this months ago on different computers, etc. so I know it's not on my end. Just wante you to be aware of this. Perhaps formatting the schedules as PDFs will prevent this problem?

Jessica, do you not get a scroll bar on the right side of your main browser window? I've optimized & tested this on multiple machines and browsers, including IE 6, IE 7, Firefox 2, Firefox 3, and Safari for Windows. Are you using an early version of internet explorer? If so, I did not test IE for any version earlier than IE5. That might be the issue.

Look for the scroll bar on the right and check your browser version.

Sorry this tech help is in a public forum, but I don't have contact info on you.

Thanks for the comments!
